Emotional Fitness for a Sustainably Balanced Life

A Bit About Us

HONOR AND COMPASSION

We honor the human desire for genuine validation with integrity and compassionate service. With an ocean of  choices, we appreciate your  consideration of ACT where we look forward to building relationships that empower your emotional well being. IN efforts to support you holistically, we are not  brand or device driven. We support our local vendors and the environment. We’re honored and grateful to all those who have allowed us to touch their lives in a significant way

… Ashi and Cheshi

Ashi

Ashi is a native of Tokyo Japan, where the “art of spa” is nothing less then spiritual. His kind humble spirit and simple approach to life makes this concept possible here in the US, bringing a peaceful IN-ergy to those around him.  A licensed massage therapist, as well as a master  bass player, he combines traditional Japanese techniques with his musical background, to make his symphonic style  precise, methodical and very healing.

His creativity doesn’t stop there, let me just say, Ashi is serious about food. His training as a  Chef and his love for traditional Japanese cuisine inspires  simple, organic nourishment for Individual or Couples Thairapy and the Group Thairapy Sunday Brunch

Cheshi

After many years as an award winning hair stylist,  Cheshi developed bi-lateral carpal tunnel and severe tendinitis for more than  two years. The emotional and financial  impact of this sudden lifestyle change caused  symptoms of distress. After much frustration. she chose alternative methods to recover her health.

She studied bodywork therapy  in San Francisco at the School for Self  Healing and the World School of Massage and Advanced Healing Arts, focusing on Emotional Trauma Release techniques and Movement Therapy. At the Institute for Educational Therapy (now Bauman College) she completed a Holistic Diet and Nutrition certification, and in 1989, Cheshi earned her  B.A. in Human Development from Cal State University @ Long Beach.

But its her role as a professional cosmetologist and holistic beauty educator where she has clocked more Thairapy™ hours than many psychologists. Her brand of therapy culminates  her life, work and educational experiences and the IN-spiration for ACT. Hair salons have historically offered a safe haven for emotional support where the only licensing needed is

~a compassionate heart and the willingness to listen~.

Overcoming what appeared to be a hopeless experience ignites Cheshi’s  passion for assisting others on their path towards emotional fitness and a more balanced lifestyle.

Some Gracious Thoughts

Thank you for my healing work…you guys ROCK and have a truly amazing gift. As a performance artist, my body is constantly under tremendous strain. For the first time I feel so light and connected.

The time spent in your chair working on my hands and Eric’s upper back and neck were invaluable to us

Sue Ellen Schell … Teacher, Palto Alto

The beauty and IN-ergy that embody Ashi and Cheshi  must be felt to be believed. In their capable hands you are transformed emotionally, physically and spiritually. What you experience defies explanation that mere words would only diminish. The effects linger long after you physically leave their presence. This is healing in its purest form…I will be forever grateful that Ashi and Cheshi have touched my life.

Lisa G. … Artist, Oakland

I met Cheshi at a retreat in Boston. We developed a bond right away and she invited me to visit her in Cali. When I arrived I was on a crazy fad diet. During my stay she shared many strategies to help me achieve my weight goal naturally. Ashi inspired and showed me easy ways to prepare simple and great tasting food to fit my busy schedule.

When I recently got married, Cheshi came to NY and did my makeup. I’ve never  felt more beautiful and elegant. I’m very conservative when it comes to make-up, but Cheshi showed me how just a little concealer and simple techniques could enhance my appearance without being too much. Returning from my honeymoon, my co-workers didn’t recognized me.. Thanks Cheshi !!
